SSERC is regularly publishing its professional journal ‘Steel Scenario’ since July 1991- a highly reputed international journal as monthly and quarterly issues.
For the first twenty years SSERC has been publishing annually 12 monthly Bulletins, 4 Quarterly Journals, Annual Statistical Yearbook and Special Issue on important current topic.
Entering into the 21st year of publication in July 2011, Steel Scenario has included the non-ferrous sector in its fold in its monthly issue. Monthly will be in new format with all the contents of monthly and quarterly issues.
To include the non-ferrous sector,
- the monthly bulletin is done away with.
- all the 12 monthly issues are in the format of the earlier quarterly journals with more pages
- includes the contents of both monthly bulletins and quarterly journals in addition to non-ferrous sector.
- Now there are 12 monthly journals and Annual Statistical Yearbook
From time to time Special publications on important current topics may also be published.

Monthly Publication: Monthly Journal covers information on current economic/ industrial issues on ferrous & non-ferrous producers / consumers; (domestic & international), steel production, export-import etc. & upcoming projects, information of events etc.
It also publishes articles and technical papers from Indian and foreign experts, research reports of SSERC and informative papers on various steel products, steel consumers/consumers’ group, raw materials, write-ups on technology, engineering sector, environment, country profile, product profile, company profile etc. as well as reports and papers of important professional seminars/conferences in India and in foreign countries.
